Now… on to this month’s theme. It’s August, so that means it’s time for our annual genealogy “potluck picnic,” a.k.a. bloggers’ choice.
What is Bloggers’ Choice?
Who doesn’t love a potluck picnic, especially during the dog days of summer? Sometimes, you get an amazing variety of delicious dishes. Other times, you get 12 bowls of potato salad!
Bloggers’ Choice is kind of like a potluck: you get to choose which dishes… er, posts to bring to the party.
There is only one requirement: your post(s) must pertain in some way to family history.
Suggested topics include (but are not limited to):
- Ancestor research, profiles, or stories
- Genetic genealogy
- Methodology and resources
- Family reunions (planning, attending, etc.)
- Preservation and restoration of photos and heirlooms
- Organizing your family history
- Ephemera and/or family treasures
- Heritage recipes, cookbooks, and foods
- Software, hardware, apps, and tech tools
- Book and/or magazine reviews
- Activities for teens and children
