The Genealogy Blog Party: Family History Month

In 2001, Senate Resolution 160 (sponsored by Sen. Orrin G. Hatch, R-UT), designated the month of October as Family History Month.

Since then, the official resolutions and proclamations have been sporadic at best and non-existent at worst. And unfortunately, there seems to be no sign of a Family History Month 2020 resolution on the horizon.

But we aren’t going to let the lack of government support for Family History Month get us down, are we? No way!

Because to family historians, EVERY month is Family History Month!
